New Kahles K864

The K864 8-64×56 is a riflescope conceived specifically for F-Class competition, a popular, fast-growing long-range precision rifle discipline shot prone at distanc-es from 300 to 1,000+ yards, allowing optical scopes and rifle rests (bipods or front rests. In South Africa, the sport is split into F-Open (various calibers/rests) and F-TR (restricted to .223/.308 and bipods).

Unveiled by Kahles at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas, it is engineered for extreme long-range precision, featuring a massive 8-64x magnification range, paired with a 56 mm objective, a combination aimed squarely at long-range targets where the margin between a winning score and an average one can be measured in frac-tions of a mm.

Optics

The K864 offers a dramatically wider field of view of 6.1-0.8m at 100m due to the VISIONFLEX design, providing up to 64% wider FOV than the K1050, with image clarity staying bright at high zoom levels.

The VISIONFLEX design offers a fatigue-free viewing experience with a comfortable eyebox and an eye relief of 92 mm, which stays consistent across the entire power range. In practical terms, this means more visible wind indicators, easier mirage interpretation, and less fatigue during long strings of fire – all without backing off magnification.

For competition shooters, this expanded awareness enables:

• Faster setup and target acquisition.
• Quicker adaptation to changing environmental conditions.
• Decisive performance under timed competition pressure.
The scope uses a second-focal-plane design with a non-illuminated MOAK+ reticle, reflecting its singular focus on daylight, known-distance competition rather than low-light versatility.

Turret and Controls

• Elevation Turret: Features “EASY- READ” labeling with high-contrast, easy-to-read numbers, providing 20 MOA of  adjustment per revolution.
• Click Resolution: Fine 1/8 MOA clicks allow for extremely precise, small-  increment point-of-impact corrections.
• Zero Stop & Rotation Indicator: The elevation turret includes a mechanical ZeroStop and a clearly visible, raised  rotation indicator pin to track which revolution the shooter is on.
• Windage Turret: Positioned on the right side of the scope body.
• Adjustment Direction: Features Counter-Clockwise (CCW) rotation.
• Top-Mounted Parallax: The parallax adjustment is integrated directly into the elevation turret (top-mounted),  allowing for ergonomic adjustment from 8 meters to infinity without requiring the shooter to break their position.
