“We are very excited about the offering from our members and guest sellers. Once again, we will be offering an excellent selection of sable to tempt our fellow sable breeders or those wanting to start a new herd. We have also a wide selection of animals including a 33 1/8” golden wildebeest bull, one of the largest in the county on auction. We are delighted to showcase the exceptional animals our members and guest sellers have offered on auction across 12 species. “says Garth Saunders chairman of Benchmark Game Breeders,
“We have all experienced a strong increase in game prices over the past 30 months, reflecting the re-emergence of the hunting industry and a general shortage of game across the country. This trend is expected to continue for foreseeable future. Buying in advance of increasing prices would seem to be the sensible thing to do.” he continued.
On auction there are no less than five 49”+ sable bulls led by the 54” Rapella line Monsier.
Our female sable offering includes the genetics from; 50”+ bulls: Mopanie, Dinaka, Roman, Kapiri and many more which is sure to attract the attention of buyers across the country.
There is a strong offering of Buffalo cows and a 50” buffalo bull, 132 2/8” SCI, sired by Jabulani. Outfitters should not miss the 40”+ hard bossed buffalo hunting bulls.
Kudu bulls over 60” are exceptionally scarce and in some areas finding bulls above 50” is becoming a challenge. Our kudu breeders are working hard at growing the next generation of big bulls and this year buyers of the majestic kudu will be spoilt for choice with daughters from 61” to 70” kudu bulls.
Wildebeest have attracted much interest in the last three years. This year, we offer, the first ever 3-in-1 stacked genetic wildebeest offering with a 33”+ Chester daughter with a 34” Serengeti bull calf and back in calf to the 34 6/8” Victor! In addition we also have the largest Royal Wildebeest on auction the 23 3/8’ Marilyn.
